Matters I handle
- Suits for declaration and permanent and temporary injunction
- Suits for recovery of money and damages
- Specific performance of agreements
- Defamation suits
- First and second appeals, and civil revisions
- Execution of decrees, so that a judgment actually results in payment or possession
Interim relief
A civil suit can take years. Temporary injunctions, attachment before judgment and the appointment of a receiver protect your position while it is decided, and are often where a case is effectively won.
Limitation
Every civil claim has a limitation period under the Limitation Act, 1963, commonly three years for money claims and contracts. A suit filed late is dismissed regardless of merit, so the dates should be checked at the first consultation.
